Śāntideva's classic guide to the Buddhist path is to this day one of the most important works of the Mahāyāna Buddhist tradition. It is currently being taught by Lama Jampa Thaye on the summer course at the Dechen European retreat centre, Sakya Changlochen Ling, together with its detailed commentary by Lopon Sonam Tsemo.

Monthly on Saturdays 1-3pm at the Dechen Los Angeles Sakya Buddhist Temple.
This class is for all those with an interest in studying the Bodhicaryavatara and deepening their knowledge of this text. We are going through the entire text gradually, but everyone is welcome to jump in an out as fits their schedule. No prior knowledge of the text is necessary but attendees should have at least a basic grasp of Buddhism.
